Brand assets
The council’s marks, in one place.
Everything here is ready to use. Take the logo for a flyer, or a banner for the council’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Using the same files everywhere is what makes TCMC look like one organisation rather than several.

The logo
A transparent PNG, 630 by 639 pixels. It was drawn for a light background: the area inside its frame is transparent, so on a dark background the navy lettering disappears. Put it on white, cream, or a light tile.
There is no vector version of the logo. This is the largest file the council has, which is plenty for the web and for ordinary printing, but it will soften if it is blown up to banner size.
Social banners
The same lockup on three backgrounds, in the three sizes the council’s pages ask for. Every file has been measured against the crop its platform actually applies, so nothing important is cut off on a phone.
- Regular
- Flat white. No wash, no texture. Use this when it has to sit on a printed page, a slide, or a platform whose colour you do not control.
- Light
- Warm cream, with the same soft colour washes the website uses. Closest in feel to the council's existing email banner.
- Dark
- Deep navy, matching the top of this website. The strongest of the three against a dark interface such as YouTube.
YouTube channel banner
2560 × 1440YouTube shows a different slice of this on every device. Only the centre 1546 × 423 is guaranteed everywhere, so the whole lockup is held inside that strip and nothing is cut off on a phone.

Facebook page cover

Profile picture
1080 × 1080Facebook, Instagram and YouTube all mask this to a circle, and it is often seen at 40 pixels beside a comment. The mark carries it; the council name would be unreadable at that size.

Colours
Two of these come with a rule attached. Sky and grass bright are the wordmark colours, and they only hold up on a dark background. On white or cream they fail the contrast standard the site is built to, so use royal and grass ink instead.

Typefaces
- Fraunces
- Headlines, the tagline, and the wordmark. Used at medium weight, and in italic for the tagline.
- Hanken Grotesk
- Everything else. Body copy, labels, buttons and navigation.
Both are free on Google Fonts.
The web address
Write it as TCMCBayArea.com, never as one flat lowercase run. This holds everywhere the address is written, in an email, a flyer, or a text message, not only where it can be coloured. The capitals separate the two words, and the two colours make the council’s name the part that is read first. On a dark background the same split uses the brighter pair.
Linking straight to a file
Every file on this page has a permanent address, so it can be linked or embedded from an email, a flyer, or another website without sending the file around as an attachment. The pattern is:
TCMCBayArea.com/brand/<file name>.png
For example, the dark YouTube banner lives at TCMCBayArea.com/brand/youtube-banner-dark.png. These addresses do not change when the site is updated.
Need something else?
A different size, another background, or a version for print. Ask and it can be made from the same design, so it will still match everything here.
